Your role will be working on medium to large scale workplace projects to assist in the development of a workplace brief and ongoing engagement and co-creation with the client team. You will be conducting interviews, workshops and quantitative studies in the clients office to understand their business, culture and workspace. Your role is then to translate these findings into design solutions as part of a multi-disciplinary team within M Moser. Your role may include brief development, space planning, staff engagement and project co-ordination.


Particular skills required to fulfil this position include:

Business acumen and ability to understand key issues and drivers for business decisions

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal (Mandarin and English highly desirable)

Research & analytic skills in both quantitative and qualitative data

Ability to listen and engage with people from all levels of an organisation

Leadership & Co-ordination skills with an understanding of project parameters

Creativity and ability to think outside the square


Organizational Analysis: Observe, evaluate, and understand organizational functions, practices, and processes to gain insight into work environments, systems and worker behavior.

Documenting and understanding what the work itself is and the work activities are.

Evaluating and understanding the organization as a  whole and what it does/what the components are.

Observing and understanding how the components of the organization fit together. 

Observing and evaluating how different components of the organization interact and are interdependent.

Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant internal sources. 

Receiving and obtaining information about best practices and promising trends from all relevant external sources (e.g. competitors, stakeholders, partners).


Human Behavior Analysis: Employ a systematic approach to observing, evaluating, and understanding how workers and work teams’ interact, and the resources required to optimise those interactions.

Observing and receiving all relevant information about work activities, work patterns and worker interactions through research and through careful inquiry.

-  Creating focused interview questions that elicit relevant information regarding important space elements from subject matter experts in the organization.

-  Conducting targeted interviews and focus group sessions that glean meaningful and relevant information regarding work activities and space needs.

Documenting worker interaction patterns and how they occur in physical space.

Documenting technology and resources required to enable worker functions and interactions.

Evaluating worker and work team interactions to determine the types of space required.


Data Analytics: Categorize, describe, and analyze any workforce data and information resulting in useable knowledge that informs workspace design.

Categorize data into meaningful subsections or themes.

Employ descriptive and predictive statistical techniques to obtain meaningful and relevant information from data.

Creation of knowledge or products based on data analysis (e.g. collaboration maps) that designers can utilize when creating space.


Strategic Planning& Alignment:  Observes, evaluates and understand the client organization’s overall strategic direction (e.g. talent acquisition plans, strategic goals and business practices) to inform space needs.      

Evaluates and understands the clien to rganisation’s overall strategic direction and plans for the future.

Understands how the organization’s current and future strategic direction will influence design solution requirements.

Identifies versatile spatial elements that will allow the organization to grow and adapt to evolving business strategy.

Understands the client organization from a broad perspective, understanding how the top to bottom functions of the organization must fit together into a design solution.

Understands how the design solution will impact the behavior and habits of the client organization, positioning the organization to migrate towards a desired end state.
